The Blind Side (2009)

The Blind Side (2009)

Directed By: John Lee Hancock

Cast: Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, Quinton Aaron, Jae Head, Kathy Bates

Based on a 2006 book, The Blind Side is based on the true story of Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron), a towering gentle giant who is from a poor Afro-American neighbourhood of Memphis. Homeless, practically family-less and with nowhere to go at all, Michael’s life is changed when his path one day accidentally crosses Leigh Anne Tuohy and her family.

A story not just of love and altruism but also of the human desire to push our desires on our loved ones; it is a good watch. Michael Oher was living on the streets when he was welcomed into the home of a conservative Christian suburban family, and over time in the company of a loving caring family he matures into a talented athlete. But then did his family have ulterior motives in coming to his rescue?

This is one more challenge in his life which makes Michael stand at the crossroads once again. Does he choose to stay on with the Tuohys or move on? Watch to find out.
