Someone once said, “Being in a long marriage is a little bit like that nice cup of coffee every morning – I might have it every day, but I still enjoy it.”
Family Mantra believes that a happy and healthy marriage can have a tremendous impact on a person’s life. The institution of marriage has been getting a very bad rap over the last few years. More and more people young/old, single/married have started losing faith in the institution of marriage. Divorce rates are on the rise, live-in relationships are the preferred way of life. There are, no doubt, serious challenges and concerns in marriage right from infidelity to violence. We have dealt with such topics in previous issues but in this issue we chose to focus more on everyday challenges and joys.
We bring you a series of stories from couples married for decades to a few years to those who chose to stay single. These are the ‘couples next door’ who struggle with everyday problems and challenges.
In the relationship column, our professional counsellor answers questions that people have about real marriage related issues.
Are we afraid to think for ourselves? My Opinion talks about how a thinking, questioning world is the way to mankind’s progress.
