They say good times happen over coffee, and trust me this can be a GOOD time of bonding with your family over coffee and some games and activities that all members of the family can join in.
Making home made photo frames
All you need are 15 ice cream sticks, glue, stickers/ glitter glue for decoration and a picture. For the base of the frame, stick the ice cream sticks as shown in the picture.
Leave half-an-inch space from all the sides and glue four sticks on the base to make the upper layer of the frame. You can decorate the frame using stickers or glitter glue or any decorative item you wish. Insert the picture in between and voila you have your very own hand made photo frame.
Making a scrap book
With the digital age that we’re in, it’s becoming increasingly common for people not to print their photographs from their cameras. Pictures say a thousand words but what is the use of them if they are still in your camera!! It’s time to get them out and create a scrapbook! You can choose to have a theme for it, e.g., all your holidays, childhood, or a chronology of your life till now. You’ll need home made paper, any decorative item such as stickers, coloured pens, ribbons, glitter, glue, and cardboard paper.
The first step will be to organize the photos and mementos. A scrapbook can contain pictures, movie tickets, programs, invitations, party favors, and business cards. The second step will be to lay out the sheets of hand made paper and stick the pictures you want on each page. Use decorative borders, designer scissors, and themed paper that correspond to the pictures. Personalize by adding the party favors, objects and other things you have kept from the event.
It can also help to write labels under the pictures of what you were doing, who you were with and any of those funny stories or comments that were made. This makes the whole page much more personal and helps you remember the moment far in the future. After you have gathered the sheets together, punch two holes in it and keep aside. Use the cardboard paper as a cover and decorate it in the manner you like. If you want to add an ethnic touch to it, you can cover it with zari cloth. Bind the cover and pages together with ribbon. You could also spiral bind it.
